A 5-day Gorilla Tracking and Wildlife safari is an exciting and comprehensive expedition that allows you to experience the captivating world of gorillas in their natural habitat and explore the rich wildlife of the region.
The highlight of the safari is undoubtedly the opportunity to track and observe mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. This is a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience that brings you face to face with these magnificent and endangered creatures.
The gorilla tracking adventure typically involves guided hikes through lush and dense forests, led by experienced and knowledgeable park rangers.
Groups are small, and the experience is carefully managed to minimize disturbance to the gorillas and their environment.
You may spend up to one hour in close proximity to a gorilla family, allowing you to watch their behavior, interactions, and even capture some incredible photographs..
ITINERARY
- Day 1
Arrival
On arrival our representative who will transfer you to your Hotel will pick you up. At the hotel, the guide will take you through your tour program and give you an insight on what to expect in the coming 4 days.
- Day 2
Entebe to Kisoro Airstrip
Our guide/driver picks you from your hotel or place of residence for transfer to Entebbe International airport to catch up with a scheduled flight to Kisoro airstrip.
On arrival at Kisoro airstrip you will be met by a guide who will transfer you to your place of accommodation for checking in and Lunch.
After lunch you have an option to go for a community experience with the Batwa OR Relax at your lodge.
- Day 3
Gorrila Habituation in Bwindi Impenetrable NP
Rise up early for an early morning breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for briefing. With your parked lunch you will start your adventure trek into the thick forest of Bwindi impenetrable national park in search of the mountain gorillas. The gorilla habituation experience lasts at least four hours with the gorilla family .You will have also an opportunity to listen and observe researchers doing their work of habituating the gorillas. Some times you may participate in some of their activities like naming the gorillas, collecting samples and much more. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
- Day 4
Kisoro Airstrip to Entebe International Airport
Drive to Kisoro airstrip to board your flight back to Entebbe international airport. At Entebbe our representative will receive you and transfer you to your hotel Depending on your itinerary you have an option of a day room in Entebbe or another night.
- Day 5
Departure
With great memories of an amazing Gorilla safari make sure to grab a cup of Ugandan coffee at breakfast as you prepare for transfer to Entebbe International airport for your flight.
